29.7.2025 From July 2025, Unipi Patron S167, M267, and M567 controllers are equipped with the newer Quectel EG915 modem instead of the previous Quectel EG912. This change, which applies from FID 2.0 (and above), will ensure the long-term sustainability of your solution. The price of the product remains the same.
What is new?
The Quectel EG915 modem replaces the Quectel EG912 modem in July 2025.
Where will the news be reflected?
This new feature applies to all Patron LTE models (S167, M267 and M567): the new models are now available and will be listed on the e-shop as soon as the previous models are sold out.
How will we recognize the change?
- It is implemented on device versions from FID 2.0 and higher.
- SKU for all listed products will change.
- Patron S167 LTE (EG915) with the current SKU 2020021 will have SKU 2025044
- Patron M267 LTE (EG915) with the current SKU 2020024 will have SKU 2025045
- Patron M567 LTE (EG915) with the current SKU 2020026 will have SKU 2025046
Example illustration:
- Patron S167 LTE with FID 1.0 to 1.3 will still have the Quectel EG912 modem.
- Patron S167 LTE with FID 2.0 and above will have the Quectel EG915 modem and the new SKU 2025044.
SW compatibility
The following operating system versions already include support for Patron LTE with FID 2.0 and higher with the newer Quectel EG915 modem:
- Mervis OS 2.6.5.38
- Base OS 12.20250617.0
- Node-RED OS 12.20250617.0
However, if you are using an older operating system, for compatibility with Patron S167/M267/M567, you must either use the same or a newer version of the OS listed above or upgrade the unipi-lte package to version 0.64 or higher (instructions can be found here).
